Descrizione The study of neural mechanisms involved in visuo-motor tasks is of high relevance in neuro-engineering due to the significant practical and theoretical outcomes. However, quantitative instruments suitable for data analysis, synthesis of knowledge and employment in practical problems are still missing. The aim of the project is to develop advanced techniques for the analysis of EEG and for the assessment of cortical connectivity during simple visual-motor tasks. |

Descrizione Il Laboratorio intende operare perseguendo come obiettivo di ricerca industriale e trasferimento tecnologico lo studio metodologico e la prototipazione di sistemi elettronici di acquisizione, elaborazione dati e controllo, sistemi robotici per il supporto alla riabilitazione e protesica (area “people”) e per la diagnosi, supervisione e controllo di sistemi industriali, robotici e veicolari (area “manufacturing”). |

Descrizione This project aims to: (1) increase the knowledge regarding the several mechanisms involved in the pathogenesis and in the development of uremic cardiomyopathy; (2) identify target/solutions to improve patients’ cardiovascular tolerance during the therapy with artificial kidney; (3) characterize an experimental and computational model of heart/cardiomyocyte of uremic rabbit.

Descrizione Obiettivo generale del presente progetto è quello di sviluppare un sistema di monitoraggio che consenta di ottenere informazioni sui movimenti locomotori eseguiti da un soggetto sia durante le normali attività della vita quotidiana in ambito domestico (valutazione della prestazione motoria), che durante l’esecuzione di protocolli motori selezionati per stimare quantitativamente l’abilità motoria di un individuo (valutazione della capacità motoria). Il monitoraggio si potrà applicare anche ai movimenti eseguiti durante il trattamento. |

Descrizione The CAMMI Project is developing technologies for intelligent multi-modal interactive systems especially addressing the user’s interaction with adaptive context-aware systems. Application relevance is focused to a set of different domains like next-generation flight-management systems for aircraft, UAV for Civil and security applications, Infrastructure Management Systems and high-speed Driver Assistance Systems in the automotive and rail domains. |

Descrizione The SMILING project is planning to diminish age related impairments by interfering with mobility disability and improving carry-over into real life situations. The new approach, a wearable computer-controlled device, is intended to challenge the patient to solve new motor problems in real time by inducing variable environments that need active response and problem solving from the target population |

Descrizione The overall goals of this project are:
1) development of wearable prototype biofeedback devices for improving human balance;
2) to validate the implementation of different sensory biofeedback strategies used in the wearable system for improvement and rehabilitation of human imbalance;
3) to investigate sensory substitution strategies in human stance control.
